New board of directors to support JOT Automation's global growth strategy

JOT Automation Ltd's General Meeting has elected a new Board of Directors for the company to support its international growth strategy. Rovio's new Chief Commercial Officer Pekka Rantala, Inkron's Managing Director Juha Rantala and BRP Finland's Managing Director Jukka Jokinen have been elected as new members from outside the company.

Head Invest's long-time Managing Director Arto Ylimartimo continues as a member. The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Veikko Lesonen. Lauri Antila was appointed the Vice Chairman.

"I believe that new members bring to the Board’s operations expertise on international sales and marketing in a situation where JOT significantly invests in the implementation of its international growth strategy and product development," says Chairman of the Board of Directors Veikko Lesonen.

"JOT's business has been developing positively in America and Asia. Last year, the company's turnover was over EUR 51 million, of which 44 per cent came from America and 42 per cent from Asia. We see excellent possibilities for growth on the international markets."

M.Sc. (Econ.) Pekka Rantala has recently been appointed the CCO of the game company Rovio Entertainment. Previously, he has been responsible for Nokia's global brand and marketing and, before that, Nokia's business in Europe. BRP Finland Oy's Managing Director, M.Sc. (Econ.) Jukka Jokinen has extensive experience in both device manufacture and international sales.

Inkron Oy's Managing Director, Ph.D. Juha Rantala is an internationally recognised electronics material expert and entrepreneur. He acts as a consultant for several companies on future technologies and commercialising innovations.
