JOT Automation gets smart with a new test device at MWC

— 25 February 2013

JOT Automation will be showcasing its newest innovative device for final functional testing of smart phones at the world’s largest mobile exhibition of its kind from 25-28th February in Barcelona.

The leading supplier of production and test solutions for the telecom, electronic, automotive, aerospace and advanced life science industries, JOT Automation, who is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the automation business, will present the JOT G3, a new and improved device to its predecessor JOT G2.5.

JOT G3 enables fully automatic tests on handsets in a repeatable and reliable environment, which helps to maximise capacity and quality with low labour costs.

The new device has a smaller footprint and offers an all-in-one feature enabling all DUT interface testing including RF, screen, touch screen, buttons, audio, and plug-in connections. Its other key feature is that it is test system controlled, with different combination of tests available on the same platform.

It has an easy and fast product change over, together with a simple and in-expensive product specific adaptor. With a self-diagnostic which verifies machine functionality to speed up problem solving and additional features and instruments available to add to the product, the JOT G3 offers the best choice for a lean environment.

Janne Niva, director for Telecom Business Line at JOT Automation Ltd said: “JOT Automation will have a stand within the Finland success stories zone and we are looking forward to demonstrating how the JOT G3 will help manufacturers save time and money and ensure that their products are manufactured within a lean environment, a must in today’s mobile industry.”
